Window 7 Can’t update with error code 80070422
run these command
1、C:\>fsutil resource setautoreset true C:\
2、C:\>cd %windir%\system32\config\txr
3、C:\Windows\system32config\TxR>attrib -r -s -h *
4、C:\Windows\system32config\TxR>del *
5、C:\>cd %windir%\System32\SMI\Store\Machine
6、C:\Windows\system32\SMI\Store\Machine>attrib -a -h -s *.TM*
7、C:\Windows\system32\SMI\Store\Machine>del *.TM*
and then clean boot
and then download and install System Update Readiness Tool
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/What-is-the-System-Update-Readiness-Tool
reboot and you can run your window update now!
